You Have Circled This Mountain Long Enough

The seriousness of the Lord on this word is one we would do well to consider, for it is His desire to keep us from delay and pitfalls that could potentially see us off course and dealing with messes we need not have for quite some time to come.

This is what the Lord is saying; "to the mature Christian, the ones who have wondered or sat dissatisfied over the past few years between different churches or Christian communities trying to find a suitable home - it's time to stop circling this mountain and TURN.

Turn from your searching, the searching of personal significance amongst your peers, the searching of comfort and ability to blend into the crowd to switch off and hide from a busy life, the searching of familiarity with what you have known yet with an extra sprinkling of salt so it seems like it tastes new. The searching for a family that has no intention of time to know or be known outside of their own needs and goals. The searching of belonging where you can be fully alive to who you are rather than reduced to a function. The searching for a place where pain and disappointment can be avoided. The searching for the family that understands and embraces.

The Lord would say, stop your cycles of searching and turn so that you don't keep going around this same mountain over and over, causing your heart to become jaded and wounded towards the body and towards Me. Your searching will not result in finding because you are looking for your needs to be met rather than allowing Me to show you where I need to position you and why. And when I position you, you will find you have exactly what I have always intended for you. There is no place in your searching you will avoid pain and disappointment, but where I position you it will grow you not destroy you. There is a family that will understand and embrace you if you allow me to place you within it. To be fully alive to who you are and your call, to know what genuine significance with one another looks like in Me. You are discontent because you have seen a glimpse and felt the stirring in your spirit for what is to come, yet in your searching it leaves you wanting. That is because its not the responsibility of another to fulfil that vision for you, but rather it is your responsibility to walk out what I have sown in you, alongside others doing the same. Stop searching and waiting for someone else so you can exclaim "finally", it is you I calling to account not them. This is not your time to be a Sunday spectator, to hide in a sea of people, to withhold your life with a sense of entitlement. Your rest will not come through detachment while being physically present, nor a consumer only mentality, no rest comes to you through obedient faith. But how can you have faith if you will not hear that which you will need to obey? Will you continue as the Israelites did in their grumblings that eventually kept them from the Promised Land? They presumptuously believed they could still "go up" and obtain that which was promised, but they could not (Deut 1:41-45). I Am merciful, yet rebellion of will - will cause you to stumble. There is harm I am protecting you from entering in your obedience to My leading. This is not a time for comfort, but you will be comforted, you will be healed and restored. Lay all your desires to be comfortable at My feet, and I will be your security and safe place. Let go of everything that you let yourself give you 'Christian' significance, and allow Me to reform you as more Christ like, and I will restore to you those things that shall remain.

This is the time to grow up, again! Come into greater maturity by becoming childlike as learners in wide eyed awe, realise just how much you have yet to discover. The milk you drink has soured, you are no longer babes in the faith, only solid food will do and the mature are not dependant on the hand feeding of others. Feed yourselves and be nourished that you would mature in all your ways. Not to become pious or stoic, but exuberant life givers in wisdom and understanding.

Lord how do I find my way, you ask. You will cease your searching when you realise YOU are My advancing strategy on the earth. I Am putting this back on you right now as a leader, as a called one, I am not letting you defer responsibility onto the church of the week up for debate any longer. This is the time My Church must take personal ownership to see corporate reformation.

I will position you when you ask of Me, "what is my assignment Lord, and to whom?". When you know your assignment from Me and to whom you are called, there is no convincing you that where I position you is exactly where you are suppose to be. No longer is your life directed by your needs being met, and yet you will find they are because you have heard My word to you and desire to pursue and fulfil it in faithful expectation and obedience of heart. Find your assignment for this era I have for you in Me, and you will find true riches. BECOME the very things for which have kept you searching, and do not let the rebellion of desire, and abdication of authority and responsibility keep you cyclically bound to the wilderness when I have called you to lead a generation out of their exile, that is displacement and absence of home, found only in Me."

The Israelites wanted the land spied out for them, someone else to take the risks to see if it was worth it. The Lord is saying church you are at risk of doing the same, wanting some brave ones to go ahead and see if what's in store is worth it. Or we treat the rest of the body like a recon mission, seeing if what's on offer is worth possessing. Eventually the obstacles convince us into demoralisation and our hearts to melt as we trade trust for discontented murmurings within our wilderness 'tents'. {Deut 1:26-33}

But the Lord would say to you today, TURN and take possession! Align yourself to His assignment for you, and do not delay in your obedience might you end up caught circling yet again missing the very promise He has intended. For some there is a very strong warning with this word, for if you continue circling this mountain it has serious potential to damage certain areas of your life, particularly in the area of your calling, which is an area that the Lord is actually wanting to establish at this time not see torn down.

So I bless you to possess in Jesus name. To become the very things for which you are searching. To know your assignment and to whom you are called to for the next era of your life. To allow God to turn you, to break the cycles that have kept you disorientated and delayed. To no longer experience displacement and absence of home in relational and spiritual exile. Be filled with a fresh vision for your life as the Spirit of God apprehends you. Amen!
