Everybody’s Gonna Need More Feet.

One morning during the week of January 18-22, 2021, I was woken up by the Spirit of the Lord with excitement. In an instant I was awake and I heard “Everybody’s gonna need more feet.” That is word for word how He said it.

I had no idea what it meant, I even thought that it’s not even proper English, but that is exactly how I heard it. I wrote it down and prayed asking the Lord to help my understanding and gradually over the last while God has been speaking to me loudly about feet through the book of Joshua. The following is how the Lord built on this word of “more feet” and the summary is at the end.

Joshua 1:2-5

God told Joshua that every place where the sole of his foot touched God had already given him.

Joshua 3:8-17 and all of Chapter 4

The priests had to get their feet wet first and stand in the Jordan, an act of faith and trust in what the Lord said, then the Lord held the waters back and they stood in a heap. The priests feet stood firm on the word of the Lord, and on dry ground.

When God did this miracle it was during harvest time and the Jordan overflows all it’s banks at that time (Joshua3:15).

(The waters might be raging, but there is a harvest to be reaped if we would get our feet wet at the command of the Lord.)

God also commanded that one man from each of the twelve tribes pick up stones from where the feet of the priests stood and carry them on their shoulder and set them up as a sign to the generations to come “That all the peoples of the earth may know the hand of the Lord, that it is mighty, that you may fear the Lord your God forever.” (Joshua4:24)

This happened on their way to take Jericho. Israel’s first city that was taken in the promised land.

Joshua 10:8, 24-27

Five kings of the Amorites were defeated. God told Joshua to not fear because He had already delivered them into his hand and that not a man of them would stand before him.

At the end of the battle, when the opposing army was dead and they had chased down every man Joshua called for all the men of Israel and said to the captains of the men of war “come near, put your feet on the necks of these kings.” Then with their feet on the necks of those kings Joshua killed them.

(This is where I got really excited in my spirit.)

Joshua 14:6-15

Caleb was one of the men who gave a good report of the land when they were first sent out to spy the land. He brought a good word in his heart and He did not waiver. He wholly followed the Lord.

Caleb was sustained forty five years and did not loose strength and neither did his eyes dim and as Moses had said to him “surely the land where your foot has trodden shall be your inheritance and your children’s inheritance forever, because you have wholly followed the Lord my God.”

Caleb was given a mountain, Mount Hebron to be specific. Hebron means, a place of joining, alliance.

We are men and women of war. If you don’t feel it then ask God to awaken the warrior in you that He made you to be.

Be faithful and don’t loose heart, stand where God commands you. He will strengthen you and sustain you. Do not let the enemy melt your heart. Keep your eyes up and on Jesus our commander and chief and remember His faithfulness from past seasons. Wholly follow the Lord and you will inherit your mountain as Caleb did.

Everybody’s Gonna Need More Feet.

There will be such victory in this season that it will feel like we need more feet. A victory in taking ground and stepping into the territory God has set before us. God is taking ground back with the feet of His people.

Step out at His command.

It will seem like there won’t be enough feet for all the enemies that the Lord will subdue and the steps He will lead us to take.

Step out at His command.

The Lord will stretch out the necks of our enemies in front of us to put our feet on and they will be defeated.

The victory is the LORDS!
